Height/Physical Description: Slow-growing tree 15 to 30 feet in height and 30 feet in width. Very heavy trunk and branches. White flower clusters in late Winter and Spring.
Use: Food and fiber materials. The blossoms were edible and the fiber obtained from the leaves was used for making sandals and nets.
Harvesting: Flowers were harvest in Winter and Spring. Fiber from the leaves was used year-round for making sandals and nets as mentioned above.
Preparation: The preparation of this plant for its uses is not well documented as it was more utilized by the Serrano tribe and used less by the Cahuillan people.
